Is it too late to reply to this? Sorry, didnt see it. Hopefully youre not being facetious, but no I'm not studying medicine. I do have a superficial passing interest in brain chemistry and behavior and all that, but I'm no expert. How Ni'k doing with the no smoking, anyway? |

fuck an animal--- it will make you feel good! i just had oral sex with a roasted chicken--- it was fucking delicious! i stuffed it with 2 leeks (oh yeah) and fired it up 20' per pound plus 20' for the stuffing. awesome. organic birds are TASTY and i love to tooth-fuck them. anyway, junk food just makes you ill! if you wanna learn about nature, go eat something from the woods or a non-industrial farm or something. hunt for truffles. pick berries. go milk a grass-eating cow and churn some butter. go for a walk or something, for fucks sakes. your serotonin levels appear shot. or is it the dopamine? anyway, dopamine = rewards. go enjoy something. |

Ni'k, make your way to Boots, their treatment seems to be working for a few people highly addicted to nicotine. And it's FREE.

I'm on day 10. It's going great. I'm using patches. You need to RUN. Well, maybe walk at first - but get out into the fresh air. Exercise really does give you a boost to keep with it. Also, remember the reasons you gave up. Smoking is not cool. My great uncle can't take a shower without having a rest half-way through. He fucked his life smoking cigarettes. You're young enough to reverse the damage already done. My uncle just died at 52. Lung and liver cancer. Died 6 weeks after finding out. He smoked less than you did. Probably drank more mind Fuck that - 52!!! I'm like nearly that (36). SY are older than that! STICK WITH IT

ni'k
I officially quit smoking over 2 years ago (after the on and off for 10 years.) Like I mentioned earlier, after a couple months it never ever entered my mind, unless I got really stressed out, then the thought would surface but I would ultimately let it fade out becuase by then it was just outside of me. Well, this week I've been super stressin', and the lovely nicotine entered my brain like a random parasite whore sucking on an open pore, and I indulged. Well, the very next day, that very same desire came back, almost like an exact copy of desire, and I indulged again. The next day...well, you get the idea. I didnt indulge on the third day, though. It seemed too obvious of a program. That's what it is! It's all it is. God, it tasted and felt so good. But, fuck...that's all it is. A new program that gets so old and fucks you up so bad so quick. SO dont go back, ni'k. It's not worth how good that one breaking point feels. It really isnt. It disappears the second you take it. |

Ni'k,
I quit on Nov 28 1998. It was the best thing for me. I had many mood swings and severe loss of concentration but it was worth it. Don't worry about weight gain, irratability or whatever, just keep going. When I quit I had a hard time listening and focusing, really hard. Also a strong desire to eat or put things in my mouth.

The best thing also is when you have that onset of psychosis accept it as something that will pass in a few hours.
What I used to do was go into a dark room with no one around and just lay on the ground. The onset of psychosis is like a tornado that will eventually pass. Weep if necessary.
