it actually starts off like it could be really good, then the ending is just atrocious. as if someone read lovecraft and said "i know what we need to do! we need to have those monsters in a film, only instead of destroying most of humanity and the planet they have a nice kiss and we all learn something about the importance of family and our relationships!"

5/10 for the first 3/4 of the film. 0 for the ending.

Why do people hate this movie? Er, wait, scratch that -- why do people hate this movie but LOVE Match Point? This movie is a thousand times better (doesn't explain why I'm giving it ONE MORE POINT but oh well). Beautiful cinematography... great cast (but, uh, LEONARD DICAPRIO?! A year after Titanic came out, to boot? Haha).. a neat little film, occasionally annoying but eh.

^ While I'm not sure if I'd give it a 10/10... maybe more like an 8 or a 9.. Season of the Witch is one of my all-time favorite flicks - definitely on par with the original Halloween, in my eyes. It's sad that the film is so often hated.

It's mainly for really obscure movies, with lots of documentaries and horror films, but there's avant garde, experimental, and even some mainstream films if they fit a theme (for example, a Sagal pack, a Jean Claud Van Damme pack), there's arthouse films, lots of great Japanese films, etc.

It's an amazing torrent site for mainly UNDERGROUND CINEMA.
