Just search it up on Pirate Bay, alan. You'll need to google up some subtitles though.
8/10 Masterful framing, brilliant use of depth of field, wisely creative editing, and a lot of people getting their faces busted in. It took me a second to find this film's rhythm, but I'm very glad that I did. However, I still wasn't too big on this film's plot, and didn't find it all-too engaging. Which is a shame, since this is truly a well-made flick. I saw the ending coming from a mile away, but it was beautifully handled. I think my favorite visual from the film was the man in the wheelchair gazing out into the roaring ocean. That was cool. Quote:
Yea, Hayden Christensen is easily one of the worst actors I've ever seen. His performances are always so goddamn stiff. I can't understand how anyone can tolerate him. |

^Kristen Bell. Anyway, I've seen it before. I think it's funny. Not earth-shattering. But funny. A 4/5 I'd say. Jonah Hill's small part is great. And that awkward dude from 30 Rock too. Also watched two docu's on netflix-Wii but I forget their proper titles. One was a docu about US horror films. (Might have been called Nighmares In Red White And Blue?) and the other was a docu about grindhouse/exploitation films. Both interesting.

Watched this last night...
The Taste of Tea - 9/10 An absolutely brilliant, and visually stunning film that touched my heart. Bless your soul (or whatever), Mr. Cooley, for informing me of this one. EDIT - FUCK IT, 10/10 |

Funky Forest is pretty nutty, but I didn't like it as much as that guy's other films (Sharskin Man/peach hip Girl, and Party 7). I would, however, highly reccomend SURVIVE STYLE 5+.

What I've seen of his stuff wasn't too bad, I first got into him because he was compared to Fassbinder (one of my favorite directors -- I see a few similarities between the two but not really). He's got some pretty decent stuff, I've been meaning to check out WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN for a while. Anyway, LIVE FLESH, TALK TO HER, LIVE FLESH, and BAD EDUCATION are all pretty good film, ALL ABOUT MY MOTHER is probably the only one I would call "great".
