Porky, I don't understand the argument here either.
Rather, I don't understand why there's still any argument at all -- I said about 3 times that my definition of obscurity must be different than some people's. What else is there to argue about? As far as "underground" music goes, Animal Collective is really well-known. But they're still underground for now. That's all. Nothing else to say really. |

Hhahaa, I love all that early 90's college rock/alternative rock shit. I have a soft spot for it. Even a couple Bush songs... though the vocals are terrible.

Make up your mind
Decide to walk with me Around the lake tonight Around the lake tonight By my side By my side I'm not gonna lie I'll not be a gentleman Behind the boathouse I'll show you my dark secret I'm not gonna lie I want you for mine My blushing bride My lover, be my lover, yeah... Don't be afraid I didn't mean to scare you So help me, Jesus I can promise you You'll stay as beautiful With dark hair And soft skin...forever Forever Make up your mind Make up your mind And I'll promise you I will treat you well My sweet angel So help me, Jesus (hey, hey, hey) Give it up to me Give it up to me Do you wanna be My angel? So help me! Be my angel Be my angel Do you wanna die? I promise you I will treat you well My sweet angel So help me, Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus... |

I don't think anyone's had a chance to answer it yet. He just posted it.
If you're referring to me (?!), I don't read the site but I did years ago. |

I vaguely asked that earlier on this thread, I think. Anyway, why?
atsonic: Why do you seem so pissed off at their wrong-doing, then? |

I highly doubt I come off as more "pissed-off" about their wrongdoing than anything else I come off as pissed off about on this board. It's all meaingless anyway, we're just having a debate. Anyway, I'm not pissed-off, I'm merely contributing to a discussion.
But, as I explained earlier, I became irritated with their review style a long time ago, and I became sick of seeing their name, as if they're some credible source of music knowledge that can make or break any band with the press of a button. That's about it. I already talked earlier about how they give review scores based upon labels/bands paying them to do so, which you know, doesn't surprise me and is probably done everywhere by everyone, but -- really, there ARE people that truth pitchfork. Which is sad. But whatever. |

i wasn't refering to you, more just in general to when people gripe about pitchfork, which is something that happens sporadically, and then people ask "if you hate pitchfork so much why do you read it?", but for people who hate pitchfork the idea of not reading pitchfork is apparently incomprehensible. |

Sure, and what are you going to do about it?
Isn't pitchfork the easiest of targets, anyway? I just don't get when people get agitated by reading something they disagree wih but carry on doing it because somehow it makes them feel important and ends up validating something about themselves, that's all. I mean , there are people out there who can write well and write about interesting things, so why the fuck would anyone waste their time reading something that they consider to be crap, I don't get. edit: astso |

Oh, okay, I thought you were referring to me since I had replied since he posted that.
Anyway... pitchfork rules. Pitchfork sucks. It's just a website. Net neutrality and all that. |
