When he was talking to the dead charred guy, yes that was very creepy. I agree. Don't get me wrong I loved that scene, and besides begins and the dark knight, the original batman is awesome and was obviously has the nostalgiac element to it.

I would actually say the pencil thing is less gruesome. I don't think that's the scene I was compare the buzzer scene to though. I would compare it to the scene with gambol (the ghetto banger). Which I thought was just as dark and creepy as the scene talking to the corpse.

Burtons movies were pretty shitty to the source material though, AND in returns...Batman goes "are you ok?" after hitting catwoman during a fight just because she's a girl....

Yeah.. also.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in EVERY Batman film (maybe not Begins -- I don't remember), Batman intentionally reveals who his secret identity is to someone.

That's not accurate to the source material at all

Burton in my opinion, has made some very bad movies. Planet of the Apes, Corpse Bride, Sweeny Todd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sleepy Hollow. I like Beetlejuice, Batman, Mars Attacks, Nightmare bfore christmas and Edward Scissorhands even though I think they are both very overrated by hot topic kids

Well in The Dark Knight he doesn't, but I'm pretty sure the Joker, Harvey Dent, and this one other guy figure it out over the course of the movie.

Oh yeah I forgot about Pee Wee, which was definately good, but in a very rediculous way. Pee Wee was like my favorite person when I was a kid

WHOA, I forgot that Burton made peewee....

That solidifies my "peewee herman hand buzzer" comment about the Joker I made a few pages back. Take it to the bank.

Seems burton gets a good idea and re-hashes it in every movie, rather than stay true to source material.

For the record Both 'Begins' and 'Knight' have flaws in the editing department, but are pretty much equal in quality. I prefer 'Begins' as a movie, but 'Knight' as an idea.

Batman Begins wasn't the greatest batman film, but it was the set up to the greatest batman film! It needed to leave you wanting something more, because it was an origin story, he wasn't established yet.
