In an interview Matt Groening stated that Jacko was a big fan of Bart Simpson (ten year old boy *wink* *wink*) at the time. He even contributed backing vocals on "Do the Bartman" which appeared on "The Simpsons Sing the Blues", released by Geffen records in 1990. |

Bigger than JFK? Are you serious? John F Kennedy was a respectable human being. Michael Jackson was an overpaid freakshow that used to make good music. Michael Jackson has been dead for 25 years as far as I'm concerned. To be honest, it didn't even strike me as a big deal when I heard about it yesterday. I just hope they place his fucked up children with someone who might be able to console them through the fact that their crazy daddy touched their friends, made them wear masks, and died looking like a 40 year old woman's vagina was glued to his face.

just because time has passed since his heyday does not diminish the accomplishments
with the jackson 5, their first 4 singles went to number 1! damn! Off the wall, his "solo record" sold 8 million copies! DAMN! Thriller at one point was selling 1.5 million units a WEEK! a WEEK! damn!!!!! Thriller has sold in excess of 50 million copies. 50 million. that is mindboggling. Damn! He had 5 or 6 top ten hits off of thriller alone!

it was stated in the billboard thread how only once it was worth looking at due to the SY debut
well, just checked Amazon's top sellers, the top 15 albums of all music are Michael Jackson albums with Thriller 25th anniversary at the top this is the Lennon effect all over, after his Murder, his solo stuff and all the Beatles stuff raced back up |

he was the man in the 80s, and the 90s and 00s just ruined it all. He hadn't done anything new and original worth a damn since Dangerous in 1991

I'm already dreading how terrible the jokes are going to get. Since about 9 o'clock this morning, the jokes have gone from passable - "Apparently, it wasn't a heart attack in the cardiac ward, it was a stroke in the children's ward..." to tenuous shit "Did you hear about Michael Jackson? He died sucking off an 8-year-old hahahahaha".
It's a times like this that I think it's important to be able to fake being really, really offended so no fucker bothers with the shit jokes.
