The best name for a newspaper I ever saw/heard of is Catharthis. It was this alternative monthly newspaper/zine out of Newport News in the late 80s when I was living in Virgiinia, and it was on the cutting edge of "alternative" culture, inside the alt-rock scene, anticipating, almost, what would happen in a few years. They're how I learned about Fugazi, Pixies, Sonic Youth.
