You didn't miss much, unless you're Jamaican. Dempsey scored pretty much from the kick off but USA then sat back and basically invited Jamaica to score, which they did, twice. From what I've seen, USA play much better when they're underdogs. When they're expected to win they seem to switch off.

i think liverpool will struggle this year
Suarez is a great player but he misses too many good chances. they need a proper striker so why they got rid of Carrol i will never know West Ham have done well getting him. but man utd have done better getting Van Persie. pretty sure they'll win the league this year |

As with Carroll at WH, a lot will depend on RVP staying fit and in form because I don't see too many goals coming from anyone else at MU. I'm still backing MC just because they seem to have better cover and, in Tevez, someone who could easily be challenging RVP as top goalscorer.
Totally agree about Liverpool, though. A complete shambles who so far don't look any better than what I've seen of the teams earmarked for relegation. I doubt it'll stay that bad as the season progresses but it definitely doesn't look like they'll be challenging for anything significant this season, and then the question will be if they can even keep Suarez. |

I really wouldn't want to call either. On paper neither English team should win but they're both such bastards to beat.

Yeah, and he seems pretty good. I actually forgot about him.
I really hope Terry plays against QPR tomorrow. It's gonna be the absolute mother of all hate-fests. |

Well THANK GOD the international break is over! There doesn't seem to be any difficult matches for the big teams BUT the fact that Van Persie was taken off limping at his international, Kagawa having back pain and Rooney still injured doesn't bode well for Man U team.
And will Liverpool FINALLY get 3 points? I suspecting a draw.

fucking ESPN3 has dropped Bundesliga coverage. so i'm afraid i'll no longer be able to keep up with it unless i add some cable coverage-- still not sure if $40/month will justify now that i have prem + UEFA coverage--- but we'll see (sorry glice) |

i streamed some matches from the south american qualifier games this past week, but 1) they looked like shit, 2) kept getting interrupted, 3) streamers slap commercials over at any moment without concern for gameplay, 4) websites are hard to find and it's a time suck, 5) spam-filled websites looked as sanitary as Kolkatan whorehouses, 6) can't watch at a different time (while europe enjoys the evening i'm usually in the middle of a workday), 7) i'm against piracy, these days (long story). this is no way to live! so i might budget for it or let it drop and just watch more eeengleesh games (i'm getting into it, but have no love for any teams yet). (i pay to watch the eengleesh games btw, 100% legit) |

Yeah, I feel the same about the international break. I've never been a massive England fan anyway but increasingly find myself giving even less of a shit - except when the tournaments arrive, lol. But yeah, I suppose the game I'm most interested in (besides West Ham's) is Spurs against Reading. Another bad result for AVB and things could really start to get tense at White Hart Lane. There's pressure on Rodgers, too, but I get the feeling they're gonna be a bit more patient at Anfield. I think most Liverpool fans accept they're in a transition phase whereas AVB was clearly brought in to maximise on what Harry achieved. Quote:
So what's the score? You can still watch the Prem but won't be able to watch Bundesliga? |

John Terry and Anton Ferdinand didnt shake hands
If he had shaken hands with Terry i think it would have improved the publics view of him (Ferdinand) and thus made Terry look like even more of a cretin than he already does. Everyone already hates John Terry, no-one really has an opinion on Anton Ferdinand outside of this issue, if he'd just shook hands with him and then said "I still think he's a wanker but i was trying to be the bigger man" he would have impressed people, i think

Everton were robbed tonight. A goal that went over the line then out was dis-allowed, a goal dis-allowed as being offside when it clearly wasn't. So pissed off. A stupid STUPID mistake my Tim Howard didn't make things easier.

yeah-- caught the man/stoke city & man u /wigan games and they were pretty awesome 2nd halves in both. did you say man u had no attackers? i thought chicharito + welbeck did pretty great and buttner was amazing as... what... wingback? what a great goal he scored. and nani. shit, that team is fucking incredible. unfortunately had to miss this: http://www.zonalmarking.net/2012/09/...s-overlapping/ slightly bummed out but i'll recover Quote:
thanks mang unfortunately i'm in 'merica which means i'm deprived and i've not idea of what ITV4 is. here the bundesliga comes in GolTV (for a price). i'm leaning towards getting it just not today. tomorrow UEFA champions though! w00t! |
