kim is a good, solid, competent bass player, but among other bassists doesn't really stand out. but she is really cool.

The argument of how her style works with the other guitarists can not be emphasized enough.

If she was playing a lead role, considering how long she has been doing it, her style could be quite different, and impressive.

keith richards was great when he played bass.
john paul jones goes without saying - the whole band was a force of fucking nature.

Yeah, it's not about their style, though. They're a band that prides themselves in 30 minute long drum solos, and unbelievable time signatures.
That's fine with me.
