This is on yesterday's DMG update
CHARLES HAYWARD AND THURSTON MOORE - Improvisations (Care of the Community 112; UK) Earlier in 2017 iconic artists Charles Hayward (This Heat) and Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) spent an afternoon improvising. Charles Hayward on drums and Thurston Moore on guitar. This LP is the result. Improvisations is a vinyl-only release, limited to 500 copies worldwide. The seven tracks are unnamed but are identified by the side and order in which they appear, ie. A1-3 and B1-4. This was the third time Hayward and Moore played together. The session was recorded at Lynchmob studios through the famous 1969 Neve console originally built for the BBC. Charles Hayward has been a prominent figure in British music over the last 40 years: Gong at 19 years of age, Quiet Sun with Phil Manzanera and Brian Eno, Camberwell Now, and of course the revered This Heat now touring the world in its phoenix-like rebirth as This Is Not This Heat. Thurston Moore spent thirty years fronting the groundbreaking and massively influential Sonic Youth, in addition to numerous collaborative and experimental side-projects and running the SYR imprint, as well as his own Ecstatic Peace label. One-off, very limited pressing; Heavyweight foil block sleeve. LP $45 |

T's got a new 7" out on Blank Forms
http://blankeditions.bigcartel.com/p...lo-series-no-7 "We proudly present a brand new hand assembled limited 7" from our Stoke Newington neighbour, Thurston Moore. As Mx Liberty raises its torch of truth and justice, the poet Radieux Radio and Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth etc) unleash a punk rock broadside to the current man-boys of the USA government in response to their mockery of democracy: Mx Liberty is not at home She’s stepping out into a new zone She climbs the fence to meet enemies Who send their affectionate regards, please The lyrics (included in a collage designed by Moore with this new 7-inch record, which also includes a pin badge,) describe Mx Liberty climbing over any and all fences with our so-called “enemies” in a radical heaven. Recruit militias of Punk angels shouting love No loitered childhood Take liberties that could Wet paper when we write Rebelles philosophy Thurston, with members of his London based group, Deb Googe (My Bloody Valentine), James Sedwards (Nøught) and Jem Doulton (Dead Days Beyond Help) recorded the music in a studio nearby the early ‘70s hq of Britain’s Angry Brigade on Amhurst Road, N16. This non-violent group of anarchists poets and writers of resistance remain a source of radical inspiration for Thurston & Radieux. On the flip is “Panik” Thurston’s cover of one of the great generation zero punk rock records of all time. Originally recorded by the legendary group Metal Urbain from the 1977 streets of Paris burning with insolence and primal angst energy. It’s lyrics even more pertinent today in the face of contempo-demagoguery." |

Limited to 500 is a fairly large run for that type of thing. Assuming it's improv/noise. There will be copies for reasonable prices soon. |

I still haven't received it. I live in a galaxy far, far away. I think it should be here in about two weeks... Anyway, apart from (obviously) loving the album itself, I've also heard the BBC seshs in what I imagine is inferior sound quality (a torrent was active on Dime for ages, over a decade or so) and I've seen some of the footage as well, and it's all fuckin' GLORIOUS.
