Unbelievable. I found a copy of Made In USA on VHS. Still has the cardboard case & everything. The print isn't too beat up. Think I'm gonna burn it onto DVDR. Crazy.

It was ok. Didn't expect much. Chris Penn and that blonde girl are both also in Footloose...

i think in the liner notes to the great soundtrack it says that the music s.y. made wasn't even used in the film. that true?

Yeah, there are a few snippets and variations of Secret Girl used periodically in the film. it's a pretty pathetic, wandering, 'on-the-road' type film that ultimately goes nowhere- think of Gus Van Sant remaking Easy Rider or something.... i actually have a promo of the original Chrysalis Records soundtrack. saw it at a thrift store and picked it up because i thought it was funny seeing Sonic Youth on a major label with all these semi-well known artists like Timbuk 3 and The Fabulous Thunderbirds....

I just got the 'Made In USA' soundtrack through the post this morning and I cannot rave enough about it. It is nothing short of mindblowingly brilliant. One of my favourite SY releases, i've been listening to it all morning.
If anyone has the film and the means of putting it online can you please put it up on Youtube, DailyMotion or something. Since its a very old, out-of-print, unlikely to ever see another release I dont think anyone would care...
