That is going to be kick ass. I cannot wait until it airs, since I will not be able to attend taping.

Did anyone receive space available tickets? I tried but to no avail. Can some generous soul hook me up with a plus one?

I'm still pissed they cancelled last year... I got to see all of the dead weather's set though, which I woudln't have been able to do if I had to make it to the youth's set, and Dead Weather blew my fucking mind.

set list: http://www.flickr.com/photos/95359145@N00/5061949928/
poster (by John Howard, signed and numbered): http://www.flickr.com/photos/95359145@N00/5061951764/ program cover: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9535914...n/photostream/ Antenna and anti-orgasm were played twice, after the set was over. Some stuff will have to be edited out because that was about an hour and a half show (almost 2 hours with those two do-overs), and ACL runs only 1 hour, so.... Kim G came out into the audience on sacred trickster and I got to scream into the mic, that was pretty awesome. It was really a miracle, went down there without a ticket or anything and made it inside. Just beyond words. |

Congrats Georgekrz for someone like yourself who follows them all over it must have been the highlight of the year. Thanks for the copies of the pictures. I love the poster.
For the rest of the month up here in the Boston MA area the local PBS is featuring an episode with the group Spoon. I've never concisely listen to them, what are they like is it worth the time to watch them?

George, you're making me antsy for the next album tour. I'm looking to
break my own personal record.

taping will be split with Black Keys, so we only get about 30 minutes of SY also, this is what happened: "Kim Gordon was rather playful by the time they launched into "Sacred Trickster", the third song in their set. She jumped off the ACL stage and into the crowd, putting the microphone into the face of a rabid fan who was singing all the words. The camera crew scrambled to keep her in focus as she clearly strayed from rehearsal. It will be interesting to see if that moment makes the final broadcast, but there should be a pretty great overhead crane shot to use if it does." chicka- that ACL series is on here in NYC on some crazy times, like friday night and sunday afternoon or something so I rarely get to watch it. Actually I dont even know when it is on, they switch times around, Spoon is allright, not exactly my thing but worth checking out i think Jenn- looks like you gonna have to wait a long time (Thurston solo tour next year and after that...), but in the meantime no one is going to London? WTF?! |

name of the thread confused me a bit. i didn't know there was a webcast of the gig, or no??? i just fou nd out from tweeter feed, which i switch way too late. so was the gig webcasted? how come it wasn't mentioned here. tried to search for some recording on the net, but i found only two captured sets but from the different bands. Phish and Dave's Mathew Band, which is sad seeing other bands forums better community like speaking about stuff like that. this is the second time we have missed to capture webcast (matador). i know sooner or later something -pop out, but if i knew could have captured it. ah well, should have read more propper.
or am i wrong? was their set webcasted or no? |

TV taping was on thursday and was not webcast, only filmed for later broadcast. Supposed to air sometime in January according to that website I linked to.
The set from the festival was webcast, that was friday night. You're right, i'd like to see that set... Saturday night after-show set was not taped or webcast. hope that clears up any confusion... |
