That isn't exactly what I think of when I think of as scene. That seems like a mix between scenester, hipster, moron, and neo-hardcore (really emo but not admitting of it).

I always thought of scenesters as the next evolution of hipster.

Edit: according to Wikipedia, scenester is a sect of a subculture. So the last show I went to that was "scenester" laden was the Evens about 2 years back. I see scenesters as people that sort of follow alternative music but really try too hard to be part of the culture and are very self-focused. But I guess those would be alternative scenesters. Then again, I guess everyone in the hardcore scene would be a scenester because they are all trying too hard.
