Fight Club (film)
"You've met me at a very strange time in my life.." 2) All Apologies as both the end to In Utero and the end of Nirvana 3) Nixon's Fairwell to put a true end to the 1960s, we had done everything, we even finally managed to chase even the president out of office!

Spending ten pounds when you shouldn't and then later finding one you didn't think you had in another pair of jeans. |

favorite film ending is probably the end of hana-bi... I like how the musical composition goes from major to minor before the gunshots.
favorite sexual ending is orgasm. heh. |

The ending of the movie adaptation of Tommy is awesome:

I heard a great "End of album" trick one time by a band and I can't even remember the band or the album at this point. It seems like it was Melvins or something similar. But basically, the song "ended", there was a long silence of about a minute, and the song came back on and continued for another 2 minutes. Then there was another long silence and the cd "ended" for real. I can't fucking remember the album at the moment, I'm sure it'll come to me. Still, that has always struck me as a really cool way to end an album (though it's probably been done a billion times by now).

Best end to an animated series: Neon Genesis Evangelion. Yeah, the show was already mindblowing for the first 24 or so episodes but those last 2? Holy fuck. Has to be the most fucked-up, ridiculous, insane writing in the history of Japanese animation.
Best end to a regular television series: Twin Peaks. "How's Annie?" |

Stalker is amazing, it took me like 3 or 4 days to watch it but wow, the ending with the three glasses is just incredible, it gives you so many possibilities to think of the meaning of the movie and it certainly is one of the most cerebral movies ever.

not at all. the current state of things clearly attest to the reality that the govt won then, and will carry on winning until God knows when.. the comment was being a bit facetious, I really was just looking for something to say in regards to that picture, as it was the perfect ending to Nixon's career, the original peace out! truly I was just trying to post about the ending to Fight Club, which I think is perfect, it captures so many elements of things, the apocalypse outside comes to represent the crashing of our own everyday lives deeply exaggerated for symbolism.. genius!
