Acid Mothers Temple and The Melting Paraiso UFO
Acid Mothers Temple and The Cosmic Inferno Acid Mothers Temple and The Sonic Youth Forumeers. No but really, who here likes their stuff/reincarnations. I'm really into "Univers Zen ou de Zero a Zero" right now...high quality musics. |

Acid mothers temple is one of the greatest bands ever!
I really love the early (like first 4 or 5) melting parasio UFO albums, back when they had like twenty people on one album it was so great and weird. I have to admit I don't really like the cosmic inferno stuff, too straight up rock for me, I prefer the cosmic weirdness of the melting parasio UFO. Right now I have been listening heavily to floating flower, an acid folk band, featuring kawabata on acoustic guitar, a girl on vocals, violin and electric sitar, and a guy on tabla and some of the most trippiest space guitar I have ever heard. You should check it out.

I have a lathe-cut Floating Flower LP.
That is some fine stuff indeed. |

Damn it! I am jealus I wanted it so bad on LP, I scoured ebay many times for it and the cd reissuse, but I could never find it. But luckily it has been reissued again recently so I grabbed mine, but still the LP version would be sweet.

I was lucky enough to get it at normal retail from Ed Hardy at the Seattle Terrastock a few years back. It had just come out then. Glad I did.

I love them. They're playing a show with Ruins Alone (Tatsuya Yoshida, incredible drummer) in a month or so that I think i'm going to have to check out.

That is called "Ziggy Stardust Raga," and is not a version of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars at all. Just one of their many ironic/referential titles, like Starless and Bible Black Sabbath, Electric Heavyland, etc.
I can YSI that music to you if you like though. Very trance-inducing, that one. |

I have about 40 of their albums. They all have AMAZING moments but too many have endless guitar solos/reverbed yelling vocals. I know that's the point, to have these insane effects and crazy solos to nowhere (and everywhere), but I'm more into their slow, keyboard driven, atmospheric shit. Anyone know any albums of theirs which focus mostly on the synths?

No idea. It's kinda hard to keep up with all the side projects, they're almost as bad as Boredoms in that respect..
my favorite thing by AMT is the first disc of penultimate galactic bordello, it goes into this amazing synth part that goes on endlessly. |

SO - AMT announces a Canada and USA Tour for 2014.
Once again, they are playing Houston : ) Thing is, I'm pretty sure they played the same venue toward the end of 2013. In no way am I complaining, I'm just surprised! However, I do see where they are playing THIRTY-THREE Shows In A Row. Starting April 23 in New York and playing every night until May 25th in Providence, Road Island. Houston is the 9th gig in and the first of four Texas dates. It's a rarity these days to see a band play so many shows in a row. |

Fuckin love these guys. 4CD with "What's Your Name" is a fav. They get dissed by many for quantity over quality, which is absolute bullshit. They've done a lot of really great stuff.

Jdjspzbudktjdksd KFKSHE DHDHSHSHAVEGAOAPOAJAHEGEGVSGSHSGSGAGHSEEEEEEEEEEEJ DORPEPPPPPTPDJSGEVRHSUWHEVEHSIWLQHRIAPEHRJDJEKWNR I love that song, I've got the same box set. Kawabata is one of the all time greats, I could spend months listening to nothing but his solo stuff and Tsurubami without even getting into AMT |

i saw them in Leeds last year and they were GREAT. there was a guy in the audience like totally off his head taking millions of selfies throughout the whole thing which was funny too. i want to see these selfies.
