So uhhh... does anyone know the Double Door setlist? You'd think maybe they'd mix up the setlist a bit, throw in some more rarities, since it was on the same night as Lolla, and it would be mostly hardcore fans there.

Double Door show
Rapture What A Waste Incinerate Reena 100% Mote Tom Violence Jams Run Free Pink Steam Or ---- Shaking Hell EXPY It was 1000 degrees. T pretty much aborted TV because he forgot the words and the chords. "Sorry about that, I forgot the words and the chords. Fuck it!" Mote was a little messed up too. Otherwise, stellar show, except for the long wait under the El tracks. We were told doors would open at 9, they opened about 10:30. SY played til about 1:30. Any other questions? |

Here was my experience at Double Door...
I was right in the front (near Thurston's side of the stage). I could literally reach my hand out and touch Thurston or Kim at various times (but didn't). They often put themselves right out to the edge of the stage. and for those who aren't familiar with Double Door... It's a small club and there is no guard rail or barrier between the audience and the stage. I was almost hit in the head by Thurston's guitar a few times. I didn't see them at Lolla., but my friend said that this show was way better. I got Kim Gordon's guitar pic. and I got to shake Lee Ranaldo's hand as he was leaving the stage. I thought it was overall an amazing show. Best show I've been to in a long time. It would be cool to see some photos surface. I tried to take some pics with my cell phone, but they just turned out blurry. |

Detroit the night before was pretty bad ass too. They played a lot of the same songs listed there and a couple off of Evol to boot. Thurston did manage to rock the socks off of us all when he was holding his guitar by the amp chord while dragging the guitar, strings down on top of the floor speaker in front of him. Was anyone else in Detroit Friday??? The Flaming Lips really stole the show though!! Talk about killer performances!!!

Here's the Lolla set the best I can remember it. I know the first four songs are right but after that my memory gets a little foggy on the exact order of the rest of the songs. It was something like this anyway. Check out that other thread I started for some pics and a review.
1. Incinerate 2. Reena 3. Eric's Trip 4. Do You Believe In Rapture? 5. Schizophrenia 6. What A Waste 7. Turqoise Boy 8. Pink Steam 9. Rats 10. Brother James encore (minus Mark Ibold) 11. Shaking Hell |
