Seen as there are so many teens on here (older and younger some might say), what are/were the defining cultural moments of your teenagehood?

Live Aid was probably the defining cultural milestone of my teens.

Personally, probably the New Romantic scene, and the bands that got linked with that, not because I was a part of it, but because I found all the bands very exciting and glamorous.

Being serious the defining moment of my teenage years has to be, discovering Nirvana, that led me to Sonic Youth.

Just because I'm nasty to you doesn't mean you can be nasty back, Mr Clone.

I remember writing my favourite bands' names all over my schoolbag, or even drawing their logos, being quite important too. Visage definitely featured on there, that was quite a cool logo (at the time).

Oh yeah, I did that for sure.
Alien Sex Fiend were prominent on my schoolbag.

Taping music off the radio was really important for me.I got to know so many bands by listening to the radio in my teens.Oh, and of course 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' was a blast when i first heard it being played on the radio, but so was 'Black Sun' by Loop.Meeting my best friend was also a life changing experience because it was through him that i first got to listen to a SY album.
