I misread the question as "which Nick Cave album do you prefer ?" No wonder I was asking myself why I never heard of these albums from him.

cave in sucks, but until your heart stops is clearly better. cave in is the matchbox 20 of metalcore.

ANTENNA!!!!!
ANTENNA ANTENNA i'm ready to defend that record until the end of the world, antenna is the best cave in album ever!!!! love it to death. but of those two, until your heart stops only because most songs in jupiter seem half realized. |

when jupiter first came out i thought it was one of the most amazing records i have ever heard. it hasn't stood the test of time for me though. i still listen to until your heart stops with a nice smile on my face. i liked their ep between the two albums also.
and just because they turned more alternative rock at the end doesn't make them the matchbox 20 of metalcore. |

i would be lying if i have listened to that album less than a hundred times, and it's amazing, some of those songs are so deep and so realized. only like the three last songs are not that good but "youth overrider"? "inspire"? "beautiful son"? those are amazing.
i bought jupiter from a second hand cd store in ny and the guy at the counter said "cave in? they used to be good but now they sold out and sucked right?" and i told him that their major label album was so well done, played and written that i loved it and he told me "but they used to be so heavy!!!" like a band needs to stick to doing one thing, haahahaha, it's like all bands would be like the ramones and ac/dc, ugh! perfect pitch black is underrated, it's a good album. |

For Cave-In I prefer Beyond Hypothermia or Until your heart Stops. And Perfect Pitch black is also excellent. I haven't really gotten into Jupiter

what about creative eclipses? well i know it's an ep, but beyond hypothermia isn't an "official" record.
luminance is one hell of a song. |
