I heard a radio programme many years ago that John Zorn made about music in cartoons & how influential it had been on his own music. Listened to without the visuals, it can be very weird and disjointed.
I love the sound made by somebody falling over in the Peanuts cartoons as well. |

Speaking of John Zorn, Painkiller is insane... I wasn't even aware of jazzcore... Holy...

I still have on video an edition of The South Bank Show from 1988 I think (pre grunge!) - half dedicated to Zorn and half to Sonic Youth. You don't get that kind of viewing on primetime TV in the UK very often.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Zorn Zorn is a jazz saxophonist/composer and much more. Painkiller, which alyasa mentioned was a collaboration with members of Napalm Death. Best to listen to his stuff if you get the opportunity. Needless to say, SY are big fans! |

After collaborating with John Zorn, the drummer of Napalm Death became a solo performance artist, utilizing laptops and other electronic music instruments. It's crazy...
