Wonderful, I loved the "family feeling" of the last Sensational Fix zine, this sounds like another great collective effort.
I hope Cody is busy recording some new tracks, in the meantime.

Looking forward to this show. I think I brushed by Lee today on the subway platform during my morning walk. He was listening to the service announcement from the public address system.

A 'quality' service announcement?

I heard someting about the 7th. Ave. train. I was walking to the exit staircase at the time so I couldn't care less about the announcement.
Howling Hex has a great tune about that line: The 88 (XI) |

Just back. Let me say it was super. It was stories for children accompanied by Alan Licht on guitar and music by Lee for everyone with films from Leah Singer. The childrens stories were The Emperor's New Clothes and a tale of a spider. The music was classic Lee. He did the hanging guitar technique. He used a few pedals. He busted out drumsticks and a tuning fork. He lifted the guitar. He waved the guitar. He PLAYED the guitar. Great, awesome.

i was talking about the areas delineated as 'quality PA announcement' zones (do they still have 'em?) I wish I could have made it--much better than being sick in bed.

I haven't looked for 'em but I don't recall seeming them recently. Maybe 10 or even 15 years ago they had paint on the floor and signs on the ceiling saying 'quality pa announcements'. Theorectically, if you stood in the box you could actually hear an intelligible announcement rather than 'bargin dign dygtye number 7 train shdyg bldyyy sorry for the inconvenience'
