Supersonic 2009

The 2009 edition of the awesome Supersonic Festival will take place 24th - 26th July this year at its usual venue, The Custard Factory, Birmingham , UK . With this year’s line-up shaping up to be the best yet, the first confirmed act is none other than Head Of David, Justin K Broadrick’s influential industrial metal outfit performing for the first time in 23 years! Other acts on the bill are Zu, former Swans legend Jarboe, psych-rock troupe Earthless, the Flower/Corsano Duo, Genghis Tron, Growing, Master Musicians Of Bukkake (featuring members of Sun City Girls, Asva and Earth), 65daysofstatic, PRE, Pontiak, Venetian Snares and many more acts to be announced!! I'll probably go to this. After seeing the Flower/Corsano Duo on the list I looked at their tour dates and I missed them in Leeds 2 days ago....

Yeah, Jarboe should be very good, I think. I've not heard 65DoS, I must confess. On the Sat, Im looking forward to Corrupted, Thor's Hammer, Master Musicians of Bukkake and Flower/Corsano.

After getting so excited about this, I may not be able to go after all. I have to watch the pennies at the moment, and the cost of the accommodation is more than I can really justify.

to be honest justin was never going to be drumming for head of david again. although i spent most of the festival stood next to mick harris whom i know off avalanchers board what a guy.

Agree, wax - both Corrupted and Thorr's Hammer were monstrous, and Monotonix were a riot. My pick of the day though would be Iron Lung, who totally killed.
