Sonic Youth will perform at the Vancouver Virgin Fest on July 26. Public onsale will be Monday June 8th at 12:00PM PST. the festival will be held at Deer Lake Park. Gates at 1pm. All Ages. More info.

Torn whether to go to this. I'll be out West for the Seattle and Portland
shows with Naomi, so...

The line-up is not quite as dismal as the Montreal and Nova Scotia versions of the festival, but uninteresting no less.

yeesh, i liked the commodore rumor better. downtown vancouver vs burnaby. saw REM at deer lake park last year and it was great but between this and the middle of the street in seattle, i'm wonderin' if spokane is a good choice just to get an indoor show...

Speaking of the Commodore, I assume I'm not the only one who is elated that the newly reunited Jesus Lizard are coming to Canada. Toronto can't be far behind!!

Sonic Youth at Deer Lake Park will be awesome! I saw Bjork there a few years ago and it was spectacular. Outdoor shows rule! Can't wait!

Oh yeah. I am extremely excited to hear the Jesus Lizard are playing the Commodore in October! The last time I saw them was at the Commodore over 10 years ago (can't remember what year!)
