Pleased to be playing at this event. A lot of info to cut and paste, so I will just link the schedule and FacePageSpaceEvent sites, but I look forward to playing this. Always love going to Chicago to play.

This was the hottest weekend ever. No AC in the van or the venue, and still worth it. Huge (sold out) crowd, big success as a benefit show, TAR were fucking great, we were received better than I could ever have hoped for and I got to shake hands with Albini. Not a bad way to spend a weekend in the least. Thanks to the people who worked so hard to put this on.

The whole thing was simulcast, but I haven't watched more than a few of the archived performances. Our set was more of a "rock/capsule" presentation of the band because the festival setting didn't really provide for long space excursions with electric sitar and five-part suites, but it was a fun "rock show" to play. The vocals in our set were way higher in the mix than I like (and for my part, not as on-key as I might like) and our keyboard player is mostly obscured by a speaker (stage was too small for all our stuff and he had to set up on the side), but I can link a few things below:
Thunderbolt Pagoda (set actually begins at about 2:00): http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/23681074 TAR (really great set): http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/23684127 Miscreant Seeds: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/23715020 |

The video and lighting are nothing to write home about, but as a candid snapshot these are at least as good as a polaroid.
