I saw them live because they toured with myspace shit bands who I dont' even recall. Saw them for 30 minutes, talked to them for an hour, and I left. Strangely and shockingly, a LOT of people left after they played. Made me smile.

Hahah. "Who's Polysics?"
Polysics are a natural progression of Devo, Servotron, Brainiac, Causey Way, Lost Sounds, Mocket, and other similiarly-minded bands, fusing new wave keyboards, video game bleeps, robot vocals, surf guitars, lots of distortion, in catchy little pop songs. Their early stuff is way way better.. a lot noisier and faster and meaner.. but they've yet to release an album I totally dislike. Just brilliant songwriting. I'd reccomend a.d.s.r.m and Neu the most. I have an excellent out of print DVD by them called PiPPiPppIppi P! in USA that is one of the best live DVD's I've ever seen. |

Polysics is the image of DEVO without the depth.

Every song I've heard by them sounds like Rock Lobster.

Polysics have way more interesting things going on MUSICALLY than Devo ever did.. But Devo had more depth, yes. I'm not going to bother comparing the two, Polysics are obviously a Devo tribute band.
Also, Rock Lobster rules. |

I think he is the guy who started MySpace. It's probably safe to say though that now he has a decent corporate job and his page is run by a staff of entry-level employees. Just a guess? |
