I've only seen Halloween, Big Trouble In Little China and The Thing...
Carpenter hasn't been a director I've been compelled to really check out. Maybe I'll do that soon. |

The Fog is excellent, it packs a much bigger scare than you'd expect and is almost too eerie at times. However, this one always seems to bore friends to tears...even when they request to watch it. Which is odd, because not only is this a great ghost tale, but it's a lot better than most of the crap I can get them to sit through. Quote:
It's definitely a gem. The blending of reality and fantasy really keeps you on your toes. Sam Neill also does an outstanding job playing John Trent. Has anyone else here seen John Carpenter's Body Bags? It's basically a nice variety of short, macabre tales, with John Carpenter, as a wacky mortician, providing a ghoulishly cheesy commentary in between shorts. Plus it has Luke Skywalker! |

Watched Body Bags with a friend a good 5 or 6 years ago. It's alright. Wasn't it made for TV?

No one here likes Vampires? I love that movie, the funniest, coolest, least watered down vampire film ever made. Oh, except that whole Nosferatu film. James Woods and Daniel Baldwin both rule in that movie, "Let me as you something father, when I was kicked your ass back there, you get a little wood?" Not to mention that dude that plays Valek looks like he was born to p;lay a vampire. A 6 foot 5 inch eastern european dude with the most vampiric face ive ever seen.
1. vampires 2. escape from new york 3. haloween 4. big trouble in little china 5. dark star

Christine is one I tend to forget is a Carpenter movie. I don't think it'd make my top five by him, but it is a film I like a lot.

NO SHIT DUDE!!! Sheryll Lee looked amazing in that movie, look at those motherfucking curves? I always thought she was overrated in Twin Peaks, I mean compared to the rest of the cast; Audrey, Shelly, etc.. she was fairly average. Definitley hotter than that tooth pick Lara Flynn Boyle though. But yeah, shes beautiful, and actually very talented. Wasn't the story about her something like Lynch wanted a non-actress, real small town girls to play Laura and just saw her working or something and immediately knew she was Laura Palmer? Or did I have a dream about it or something?
