I've managed to swing a radio show on my university station. Naturally I'd appreciate it if some of you felt like checking it out.
7PM GMT/2PM ET PURPLE RADIO "VINTAGE" http://purple.dsu.org.uk/ We're playing pretty much everything fairly well-known from the sixties-eighties, save for a Track From The Future (I knowww) from the last few months. As for specifics on today's show... stuff like Band Of Susans, Fairport Convenetion, Orange Juice, Johnny Thunders And The Heartbreakers, The Stooges etc etc... Relatively conservative territory but hey, that's modern student radio for you. I'm going to try some subversion in later weeks, rest assured. I'm thinking Branca, Modern Eon, Neu! et al. Anyway, feedback welcome - check it out!

Just Wednesdays. Give it a listen, see what you reckon. Any tips would be welcomed too; I'm not exactly a pro.

Well, I'm not a pro either - I just announced on KLSU last summer, so I don't have really any wisdom to share. Val-holla-ing might have some advice - he works at KLSU and has done a good bit of DJing. There are others around here too.
But I have a meeting every Wednesday at that time, so I won't be able to listen. Sorry. |
