I love fucking goddamn sonic youth. I love what they're about, and how they do it.
I have a fairly extensive SY collection (not quite as massive as some of the freaks on this board! jealousy!) but even with what I have and enjoy there are some select items, some rarities, that I wish I could find in good condition. These include WALLS HAVE EARS vinyl The KALI YUG EXPRESS EP that came with the French pressing of Murray Street SILVER SESSIONS CD what rarities do you want to get your hands on????

The main ones I'm still looking for are the (Over) Kill Yr Idols 7", the Flower 7" & Halloween II. None are super-super-rare, but always tend to go for slightly more than I'm willing to pay. I'll get 'em eventually.
Other than those, I'd love the pink SST EVOL & purple Sister, but again, I'm not going to drop $200+ on them. Oh, and the gatefold NZ Sister. And that Japanese DDN. One day... |

how the F do you not have Silver Sessions CD????? Weird.
I still want the Walls Have Ears or Sonic Youth Sound Experience silver CD bootleg. I also still need the Whores Moaning EP. I had it years ago, but lost it. and the Sensational Fix book/7''s. I think that's the main stuff I'm still after.

Is the promo video of Stereo Sanctity still a rarity? I might upload it to youtube if there's enough request.

It's Kali Yug Express for me as well...
also Walls Have Ears (The damn thing has eluded me for decades... I wish to God that I had found the money to buy it when I lived around the corner from Rough Trade in the 1986 and used to go in and look at it everyday. Since then I've either not had the money when it has come my way or it hasn't been on ebay when I have had the money....... godammit) I would also love to have the Australian double orange vinyl Dirty, the pink SST EVOL & purple Sister. I didn't know about the NZ gatefold Sister, my mind has now been officially blown...

nothing too crazy. doc found 3 abdominal hernias. my job entails a LOT of lifting and heavy furniture moving at times and it was starting to get uncomfortable. Took 2 weeks off work, got cut up laproscopically (10 different entry points) and they popped my intestines back in and put a plastic "mesh" to make sure nothing pops out of place again. the worst fucking part was that, right after my surgery, I tried to sit up to go pee and ended up severely spraining my shoulder, becaus I could not lift myself with my abdomen (like a sit-up) my shoulder hurt fucking hellish. and the darvocet they gave me did wonders for my abdomen surgery pain but NOTHINg for my shoulder. but now it has been 6-7 weeks and I am back to lifting shit all day.
