This is indeed a classic album. If you were young when it was released, get it out and listen to it or get the Classic Albums dvd of it. It has such a big sound.

I like some Meat Loaf. He was awesome in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Get it back out and listen to it. You'll appreciate it on a whole other level.

he was good in the rocky horror picture show, but other than that he's kinda novelty. but i did love me some "do anything for love" (or whatever it was called) when the video came out when i was young. use to watch it on "The Box" back then.

Haha, typical response. So I guess that must mean Meatloaf is good, regardless of whether they actually are or not?

It would be very generous of me to say that NOFX were a tiny bit ridiculous. The mighty Meat is entirely riduculous. It's absurd. Genuinely brilliant, for all the very worst reasons. I fully anticipate a Cradle of Filth thread for the same reasons.

Oh it's a definite over the top album, amd often cheesy. But it is epic. The songwriting is fantastic.

Bump.
I've been listening to this album lately, because I found out that Jim Steinman produced The Sisters of Mercy's This Corrosion (which I love), and Yout Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth was probably my first ever favourite song (when I was young, it would come on the radio often). It's a brilliant album, my album of the moment.

I love "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad", cos I was seeing this woman in my pre-gay days, and it weas "our" song *entire board throws up*
Meat is so absurd, he goes over into levels of genius. My mate Dave in Dublin keeps telling me, "Stop listening to that Whitehouse shite, and get with the Meat program!"

I love this fat rocker. I even said it in the fat rocker thread.
Definitely showtune rock and roll. Really? Thurston is a fan? That's amazing.
