Since the DVD came out a couple of days ago I picked it up yesterday & spent the evening watching. I have to say, I had been curious about it, but I didn't expect it to be so fucking funny. The extras were also great, and explained a lot about the difficulties of making a sequence to Clerks. Fucking brilliant, really. If anyone had any doubts, or reservations, fuck them, check out the dvd.

yeh. I remeber loving the movie even if it did have that pointless fuckin montage set to 1979 or some shit/ That was seriously uneccessary/
But the rest was fuckin Ace. Lord of the rings if three movies of walking. Genius.

If you don't see Clerks, Buzzo, then you'd might as well not watch Clerks II. In fact, watch all of Kevin Smith's movies first, 'cos if you don't, yr missing out on like, half of the jokes!

clerks > mallrats > chasing amy > dogma > jay & silent bob strike back > .. if you're going to watch the dvd extras, you might as well see jersey girl as well... so you see where he was coming from when he dropped the green hornet to make clerks II |

Watch mallrats, then watch Clerks. Mallrats takes place a day before Clerks anyways. And Brodie is about the best Kevin Smith character ever.

Word up. I love Jason Lee. Elias is a (new) favourite, as well.

well, mallrats was a shitty movie that got very funny towards the 2nd half. stink palm! yes, it's stupid humor, different from, say, british humor (i loooove fawlty towers, monty python, etc)-- kevin smith said he wanted to make a "smart porkys", and he kinda did... certainly not a "great" movie and has stupid moments, but as a whole it's very funny (to me anyway). |
