Generally pretty short but songs all the same. Anyone have any particular theme songs that stick out in your mind? I think there are some pretty great ones out there.

I was gonna say The Adventures of Pete and Pete, but you beat me to the punch! That show featured some killer tunes. Good call on MST3K and Kids in the Hall too.

I think the best music on any show is probably Mighty Boosh, though the theme is only like 10 seconds long and doesn't communicate much so that's why I didn't include it. But overall, best music on a show, ever. That death metal song about the killer grannies? The EELS UP INSIDE YA!/nu rave! song? FUTURE SAILORS? BOUNCY BOUNCY!?!?!!? Just amazing.
...And yeah the Are You Afraid of the Dark theme still fills me with dread... THE MASK: THE ANIMATED SERIES theme is another fav... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzdR421Ekv8 ... reminds me of something Mr. Bungle would throw in the middle of a song as a joke.. |

Some pretty great ones here I haven't heard before. Like Daria (yeah, known about it for years, just never bothered), that Hollowmen theme was great, as was Sorry.
Yeah, the Welcome Freshmen theme is badass. I always try to remember things about the show but I can't really remember anything. Other than the guy with the atomic farts. The cool thing about Nickelodeon shows is that a great majority of them have really cool theme songs. Like all the ones listed, also there was Hey Arnold!, Angry Beavers, Rugrats, Aaaaah! Real Monsters!, well maybe mostly their cartoons. But Alex Mack's theme is pretty cool too, simple but neat. The Home Movies theme is really great too, even though there are like four versions of it, they're all pretty good. The show rarely played the full theme, usually about ten seconds of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wTHI...eature=related Another show full of great original songs.

Beavis and Butthead theme is pretty cool. One of few songs I ever learned to play on guitar.

TWIN PEAKS.
and also, THE WIRE, which has, for each season, a different version of the song "Way Down in the Hole" by Tom Waits (including Waits' version, for season 3 I think) |

Yeah, the Wire's theme is great. My favorites are first and third season.
