Serious dealbreakers:

Politics
Religion
Kids or no kids
Croc shoes

Disgruntled Youth 02.18.2008 04:51 PM

I could deal with it but I'd make a strong push towards better stuff. Sometimes people listen to stuff that's fun like 2 Live Crew or The Splack Pack maybe even some Poison Clan but, in my house no, in a club, yes...

It's generally why the men with the loose asses flock to me.

Glice 02.18.2008 05:20 PM

I would wager there's a different reason why the cavernous-assed should 'flock' to you.

HaydenAsche 02.18.2008 05:21 PM

Because of my great fisting skills of course.

Glice 02.18.2008 05:24 PM

Do you know, I don't believe anyone has ever started a thread about fisting on this forum. Madness.

Savage Clone 02.18.2008 05:28 PM

It's nice to know where we collectively draw the line.

That is utter madness. It's one of my favorite past times.

tick tock, yes indeed. which reminds me I should be gone to bed and dreaming about RZA now.

Everyneurotic 02.18.2008 05:58 PM

hahaha, awesome.

on topic: i don't know, i like so much stuff that there's bound to be some middle ground. i've had significant people in my life who hated sy, black flag and the boredoms.

it's weird how so many people can dumb down relationships to petty shit.

gmku 02.18.2008 06:28 PM

Yes. Case in point: I love myself to death and I think most of what I listen to is utter unadulturated crap.

Everyneurotic 02.18.2008 06:35 PM

narcisist.

gmku 02.18.2008 06:38 PM

Yes.

I could not fall in love with someone who did not at least have some kind of sympathy for roots reggae music, because it plays such an integral part of my life, right down to being a part of a roots reggae band. It is the music of the Rastafari people, and if you cant at least tap yr foot, I probably wont be able to get along well with you. however, this not usually a problem, as reggae is a rather universal music.

Of course, I love music, but I don't care if my significant likes it as much. Anyways I like to much commercial shit to begin with, so I will always have a common ground with people.

uhler 02.19.2008 02:58 AM

my gf and i came from the same scene (hardcore/emo/indie scene that is long gone), so we knew each other years before we dated (she didn't really like me at all, but i was an asshole to her, long story). but we met again when i was nyc and we bonded over the boredoms, rush and the movie i'm not there. she's not the biggest sonic youth or black flag or minor threat fan, but that's okay. she also loves fleetwood mac. so we do have some differences in pop culture. i guess i'm trying to say that it's best to have some commonground, at least for me it is. i tried dating a girl (like i mentioned before) who was vastly different than me and liked only stuff on the radio and popular movies and stupid tv shows and i couldn't stand her after a bit. anyway, most "regular" girls find me a little weird to try to hook up with me.
