Only way to fight homophobia

Fists. Words or theories don't work, violence is the only way to go. I've learned this lesson tonight, and it works. Punch a homophobe today.

sarramkrop 04.05.2009 02:00 AM

Hmmm, I did want to strangle him as well, as he made my mate cry and feel worse than he was already feeling, but I don't want to go to prison for murder. Do the same. Fight homophobia in the most primitive way. With your hands.

greedrex 04.05.2009 02:03 AM

well done

sarramkrop 04.05.2009 02:07 AM

It takes a lot to make me become violent, but they were throwing death threats at us because we're homos. I don't know what came over me, but that's crossing a big line for me, so he had to bleed. And he did, profusely.

greedrex 04.05.2009 02:08 AM

ha ha yeah
"little shits"

sarramkrop 04.05.2009 02:12 AM

Wankers.

demonrail666 04.05.2009 02:15 AM

I'm extremely happy to read this. Not that it started, but that it ended in the appropriate manner.

Well done.

sarramkrop 04.05.2009 02:29 AM

I'm not one to shout for gay rights this or gay rights that, it's all a lot of bollocks to me. But to threaten my life or my friend's for walking into a club in Vauxhaull (London gay mecca, for non-londoners), and to non-ostentatious, friendly, gay us, just did my head in big time. It still does, as in I'm not proud of punching someone at all, regardless.

ploesj 04.05.2009 02:31 AM

i'm completely against violence, but it sounds like you were right here. sometimes people just need a punch to make them realise what they're doing. not always a literal punch, but in certain cases (especially if alcohol is involved)

go you!

Benign homophobia always kills because I know that it's only a weak cover for anything but and I'm surrounded by it. One of the reasons I hate being home. My old friends. Born again Christians that need something to morally oppose to find meaning in their stalled, dull lives. I hate what I know their jokes lead to and arrive from. They need a fist to the jaw, too.

static-harmony 04.05.2009 02:44 AM

Nice job, I probably would have brought out the bat or a bottle.

demonrail666 04.05.2009 03:07 AM

Violence is ok, so long as the right people are on the receiving end of it. Which in this case it sounds like they were. Not something to be proud of but equally not something to fret about either. Besides, a bloke who goes around threatening people he assumes won't hit back is less likely to do it in the future once he finds out that some of them actually do. I'm only pissed off that I missed it. You never see a decent fight in Wimbledon.

terminal pharmacy 04.05.2009 03:20 AM

in my town you get called a faggot for no reason, just for liking art... but the funny thing is that it is usually the jock type guys that do it and they are the ones that all put on dresses and makeup for their end of year footy shows. their is a whole heap of closeted guys here i think that use violence against gay people as a way to lie to themselves.

anyway, glad you kicked the guys ass...

sarramkrop 04.05.2009 03:45 AM

I feel like shit. I don't like violence or being part of it. I feel rubbish for starting this thread. I wish I could delete it. You'll never understand what raising hands on a person makes me feel like.

i'm not a fan of violence either, but sometimes some people don't understand anything else, and in this case we can put it down to self preservation. so chin up...

SYRFox 04.05.2009 04:06 AM

You shouldn't feel like that sarramkrop, I don't like violence either (actually, I've never been involved in a fight and I'm glad of it), but in that case you did the wrong way. The dude was threatening you, it's alright to fight him back.

to.w 04.05.2009 04:24 AM

I really understand you sarramkrop. I think you did right. I don't like violence either but I wouldn't feel ashamed to punch a homophobe. I never had to do it (usually, my friend and I just kiss and show them our most beautiful fingers...) but often felt like doing it. I've never been into politics and advocating etc... my only way of standing against homophobia is to write songs...
YOU DID RIGHT!!!

don't be such an emo you jowly puff.

ploesj 04.05.2009 05:01 AM

hey it's ok. most people would feel awful after fighting someone, but i don't think a nice debate on how homosexuality is completely normal would have had any effect on these guys.

at least you showed them that the limp wrist clicé is not true ;-)

_slavo_ 04.05.2009 05:22 AM

you did a good thing, sarram. you did defend your friend and that's all what counts.

acousticrock87 04.05.2009 05:30 AM

I don't often justify violence, but really, if ever these is a time, that was it. I understand it still gets to you that you used it (albeit a punch is only about the lowest rung on the violent ladder), but I don't think anyone would blame you given the circumstances.

jon boy 04.05.2009 12:40 PM

oh you big drama queen you.

dumbass friend:"haha youre that fag's bitch now"

pantophobia 04.05.2009 01:09 PM

things like this makes me think all it takes a little bloody gash for every ignorant person on earth to atleast keep their opinions to themselves, if not actually have compassion

bravo kropy

the ikara cult 04.05.2009 01:36 PM

Sounds like the issue at hand is primarily bullies with a homophobic bent, the point being that they think theyll get away with it because you wont stand up to them. Similar thing happened to me and my friend the other week but no punches were thrown, it wasnt a gay thing (neither me nor friend are) but they thought because of how said friend looked there wouldnt be any challenge to them being pricks - this was at half 5 in the afternoon on the way home from werk so no drink was involved on my part.

But yeah, never feel bad about hurting someone who is prepared to try it with someone whilst hiding behind numbers or the assumption that you wont do anything. Sock it to em Pork!

MellySingsDoom 04.05.2009 02:18 PM

good on ya, sarram. You did that for the right reasons. :)

Derek 04.05.2009 02:21 PM

Good going porky. The world needs less of these ignorant, narrow-minded assholes.

GeneticKiss 04.05.2009 03:20 PM

^Right.

Now all we have to do is add the KKK to the UN's (or was it the US'?) list of terrorist organizations, and we'll be on the right track.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 04.05.2009 03:26 PM

Fuck a homophobe in an ass. He'll probably like it. That will change his mind.

joe11121 04.05.2009 03:53 PM

I dont like violence, but if someone is making fun of you, then kick their ass. That's just my opinion/

Rob Instigator 04.05.2009 06:23 PM

Those fuckers brought whatever shit you gave em to themselves. hope you and your friends are ok. keep an eye out for those fuckers though

demonrail666 04.05.2009 06:43 PM

This thread is in danger of turning into a Bronski Beat video

This Is Not Here 04.06.2009 05:32 AM

I’m in a closet and i can’t breath
Won’t you please release me
I can’t move and my kidneys fail
The size of this room feels like jail
I can’t talk i can’t enunciate
And i’m threatened like sharon tate

Suburban wealth and middle class well being
All it did was strip my feelings
Personality down the drain
Take a bullet to my eyes
Blow them out and see if i die

Hmmm, I havn't really experienced the full force of homophobia, and I know I will eventually, and sad as it is, I am ONE of those guys who the homophobes know won't hit back.

I should just bring Sarramkrop along as my bodyguard.

This Is Not Here 04.06.2009 06:31 AM

Oh my ex-boyfriend once gave a bloke that tried to rob him at New Cross Gate a new joint in his shin. Not a homophobe really, but still a certified twat who deserved it. Also just another story of When Good Queers Turn Bad.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 04.06.2009 08:38 AM

Violence is a whole lot more effective than some would like to admit. Something tells me the look on that douchebag's face, after getting knocked the fuck out by a 'faggot', was priceless.

floatingslowly 04.06.2009 08:55 AM

^^^ OMG THE DUCKBEAVER IS BACK AND HE IS WEARING A COAT NOW. I CANNOT BELIEVE MY FUCKING EYES. SOMEBODY TAKE A PICTURE BEFORE IT RUNS AWAY AGAIN.

the preceding message was brought to you by the half of my psyche that thinks "did you break a nail?" wouldn't go off as well as planned. that said, all eyes on the duckbeaver please.

ps: you should have kicked him in the head.

Savage Clone 04.06.2009 10:06 AM

Words work for some people. They don't sink in for everyone.
On those rare occasions, knuckles speak volumes.
You might not be "proud" of yourself porky, but I'm proud of you.

jon boy 04.06.2009 01:31 PM

yes fight ignorance with violence. everyones a winner.
