Fists. Words or theories don't work, violence is the only way to go. I've learned this lesson tonight, and it works. Punch a homophobe today.

Hmmm, I did want to strangle him as well, as he made my mate cry and feel worse than he was already feeling, but I don't want to go to prison for murder. Do the same. Fight homophobia in the most primitive way. With your hands.

It takes a lot to make me become violent, but they were throwing death threats at us because we're homos. I don't know what came over me, but that's crossing a big line for me, so he had to bleed. And he did, profusely.

I'm extremely happy to read this. Not that it started, but that it ended in the appropriate manner.
Well done. |

I'm not one to shout for gay rights this or gay rights that, it's all a lot of bollocks to me. But to threaten my life or my friend's for walking into a club in Vauxhaull (London gay mecca, for non-londoners), and to non-ostentatious, friendly, gay us, just did my head in big time. It still does, as in I'm not proud of punching someone at all, regardless.

i'm completely against violence, but it sounds like you were right here. sometimes people just need a punch to make them realise what they're doing. not always a literal punch, but in certain cases (especially if alcohol is involved)
go you! |

Benign homophobia always kills because I know that it's only a weak cover for anything but and I'm surrounded by it. One of the reasons I hate being home. My old friends. Born again Christians that need something to morally oppose to find meaning in their stalled, dull lives. I hate what I know their jokes lead to and arrive from. They need a fist to the jaw, too.

Violence is ok, so long as the right people are on the receiving end of it. Which in this case it sounds like they were. Not something to be proud of but equally not something to fret about either. Besides, a bloke who goes around threatening people he assumes won't hit back is less likely to do it in the future once he finds out that some of them actually do. I'm only pissed off that I missed it. You never see a decent fight in Wimbledon.

in my town you get called a faggot for no reason, just for liking art... but the funny thing is that it is usually the jock type guys that do it and they are the ones that all put on dresses and makeup for their end of year footy shows. their is a whole heap of closeted guys here i think that use violence against gay people as a way to lie to themselves.
anyway, glad you kicked the guys ass... |

I feel like shit. I don't like violence or being part of it. I feel rubbish for starting this thread. I wish I could delete it. You'll never understand what raising hands on a person makes me feel like.

i'm not a fan of violence either, but sometimes some people don't understand anything else, and in this case we can put it down to self preservation. so chin up... |

You shouldn't feel like that sarramkrop, I don't like violence either (actually, I've never been involved in a fight and I'm glad of it), but in that case you did the wrong way. The dude was threatening you, it's alright to fight him back.

I really understand you sarramkrop. I think you did right. I don't like violence either but I wouldn't feel ashamed to punch a homophobe. I never had to do it (usually, my friend and I just kiss and show them our most beautiful fingers...) but often felt like doing it. I've never been into politics and advocating etc... my only way of standing against homophobia is to write songs...
YOU DID RIGHT!!! |

hey it's ok. most people would feel awful after fighting someone, but i don't think a nice debate on how homosexuality is completely normal would have had any effect on these guys.
at least you showed them that the limp wrist clicé is not true ;-) |
