Real Fiction
Public Enemy R-Point They are all amongst my favourites. My experience of Korean film is still a little limited, but from what I've seen I've been extremely impressed indeed.

They seem to slap each other over the head a lot in Korean films, don't they?

I watched one in my high school Geography class, but I can't remember what the title was at all, possibly could be one of the ones you've mentioned.
I read an article the other day about the Pyongyang Film Festival in North Korea, strange stuff. |

Any Kim Ki Duk film is worth a watch from the ones I have seen so far. I enjoyed The Isle and Spring, Summer, Autum, Winter.... and Spring immensely

Yeah, I haven't yet seen the latter, but The Isle is wonderful, 3-Iron didn't leave me disappointed either. Also, has anyone seen Oldboy? That's korean film I think... It's quite enjoyable. EDIT: Oh, my blind eys didn't spot it in the first message. |

haha they do indeed. i wonder if they actualy do hit each other quite as much in real life as they do in the films. my friend just got back from seoul, so ill ask her when i see her. i watched the harmonium in my memory tonight, it was very very nice. nothing much happens that i could mention, but alot of the best films are like that. more a warm feeling than an action packed film. |

Please do, I'm very interested to know. It's so frequent in the films, one gets the impression that it's the standard Korean way of asserting even the most trivial of authority.

"Shiri" is a great Koren film. Yun-Jin Kim who plays Sun on "Lost" is in the film, I reccomend it.
