I know that Sonic Youth aren't very popular among the majority of posters on this board, but just in case any fans do remain, I'll just mention that they are featured in the next issue (issue 6) of the wonderful Rock-A-Rolla magazine.
I've not seen the article yet, but I suspect it will be one of the magazine's reviews of an influential band's recorded legacy. Also featured: SunnO))) & Boris Isis Melvins Converge Comets on Fire James Plotkin Bloody Panda Dub Trio Shit and Shine The Paper Chase Tzadik Anticon Top 30 Releases of 2006 Frieze Festival plus tons of news, views and reviews http://www.rock-a-rolla.com |

Seems like an excellent magazine. If it was a woman "I'd tap that". Isis, Boris, Sunn0))), melvins, converge, comets on fire and dub trio. Oh and Sonic Youth. I usually just go through phases of liking them a lot and liking them a bit.

It's a long time since I had a subscription to any music magazine, but Rock-a-Rolla is so consistently good that I've just signed up for the next six issues. I really do recommend it for anyone who's into the more metal side of the "alternative" music scene.
