This was a random conversation I had with a guy in an elevator. I carry a beatles purse. This guy was probably early/mid 20s. It blew me away:
Guy in his 20s wearing green Converse: Is that the Monkees on your purse? Me: No, it's the Beatles. Him: Were the Monkees a band or did they just have a show where they played the Beatles? Me: I think they were a band. They had a couple of songs, but they didn't play the Beatles. Him: I'm not really familiar with old music like that. I have heard of the Beatles, though. Me: Do yourself a favor and buy Abbey Road. Him (enthusiastically): I will!! Thanks for the recommendation! And then he got off at the 14th floor. I was blown away by this exchange. |
