Turns out my weekend started with unexpected awesomeness.
Today I went to a mindblowing exhibition of G. De Chirico paintings, I bought "mirrored" and an AMAZING book ( a collection of Hugo Pratt's drawings, 450+ colour pages , 30x30 cm format), i love it. Tomorrow-> pure relax.

repped for solaris! definately a treat of soviet sci-fi tarkovsky pleasures. one of the reasons i love tarkovsky so much is that he dabbled in everything from science fiction, grueling medieval epics, deeply personal, artistic autobiographys and surrealist dystopian horror films but the images are always astoundingly beautiful. a true genius.

yeah, it was fun; although the music sucked ass, the highlight of the evening was when they played one armed scissor.

Well....I went cruizin' on my bicycle to Central Park today..the weather was nice. However when I got there I couldn't ride immediately there was a 'Walk for AIDS' thingy going on and had to wait it out.
I don't know why they call it a Walk for AIDS ? I'd think they'd call it a Walk against AIDS. Hmmm......anyway, I went and sat on a bench next to the John Lennon memorial in Strawberry Fields and just people watched for awhile. Very interesting. Then, as the last time I went to CP, I saw someone I knew !!! And I don't know anyone in NYC ! It was a cop I'd met along the Riverside bikeway a few weeks ago ! Millions of gazillons of people in the park and i manage to see 2 different people I'd met on the bikepath 2 weeks in a row. But I look for things like that. What a great place.

Prom was fun, I guess. I didn't know too many of the upper classmen, and there were maybe 20 sophmores that went, 10 of whom I knew? I still was able to enjoy myself.
The limo had some really hot football players in it, so that made it all worth it anyway. Today I'm going to Chipotle, and then see Julius Caesar with a bunch of people from school. The only bad thing is that I'm missing a family friend's birthday for it. I made her a nice card though, ha. But if I had choosen the party, I would have been down about missing the play. So I guess it should be fun though. Not weekend, but: Wednesday I'm going to a Lost season finale party. Thursday I might go see Pirates of the Caribean with my friends at 8:00. |
