I still listen to Gish and SD. Great albums.

I've been listening to "For Martha" and "Blank Page" nonstop lately. Adore is such a great album.
How I feel about the Pumpkins and Corgan: Live At Caberet Metro 05/10/88 - 9/10 Gish - 7/10 Siamese Dream - 8/10 Pisces Iscariot - 7/10 MC&IS - 8/10 Adore - 9/10 MACHINA - 9/10 MACHINA II - 10/10 Mary Star of the Sea - 7/10 Djali Zwan (from what I've heard) - 8/10 TheFutureEmbrace - 6/10 Zeitgeist - 7/10 American Gothic - 8/10 I saw them two summers ago during there CD-release show in DC, and they were great. They somehow rearranged one of my favorite songs "Shame" and made it better... actually, I like both versions equally.

Only 8/10 for Siamese but 9/10 for Machina? C'mon!
Siamese Dream has some of the best production i've heard on it, whereas Machina goes too far with the whole "Wall of sound" thing. |

Oh man, I love MACHINA. Siamese Dream has a couple weak tracks for me... like Geek USA, Quiet, and even Today.

I think SD is ridiculously solid. (and I'm a big fan of that whole period, so PISCES and EARPHORIA etc.)
After that, I adore ADORE. The synths, the drum machines. |

I'm more interested in the GISH box-set that was mentioned a while back. Rights and legal issues may potentially be getting in the way of that, last I heard.
The tour I'm not too keen on. p.s. ADORE is one of my fave albums by any band, ever. I would consider going to a Don't Look Back type show dedicated to that album. Def won't happen though. |

She's hot though, well she was, no idea what she looks like now. and she sang quite a bit too, she had a nice voice. and yeah james kicks ass at guitar, not a fan his singing though. |

Adore was a pretty important album for me when I was a whining, depressive teenager.

Haha, someone at work told me that this tour was terrible and Pumpkins fans were disappointed that the Pumpkins played long, directionless noise jams and not their hits. That makes me kinda like the Pumpkins now! (not really)
Billy Corgan said, as members of the audience were leaving, "Sorry we're not playing the songs you lost your virginity to." And then went into a 30 minute feedback fest! THat's the shit! |
