my grandmother's emphisema was no picnic. she drowned from the inside. the whole thing took many months which i'm sure were terrifying for her.

in other words, you're fucking dreaming, son. and yeah it's all a crapshoot, but you're diminishing your odds at a fast rate.

Okay, you're talking about two different things here, I guess in some attempt to justify what you're doing.

Spending way too much time to perfect your body is one thing. Taking common sense precautions so you can enjoy life not merely for as long as you can but also as fully as you can is quite another. How enjoyable is life at 40 gonna be if you have heart and lung diseases, you can't walk a block without becoming short of breath, and you're constantly craving that next cigarette?

i guess it isnt really POSSIBLE for someone who is still at the "this is all good" stage of smoking to understand the desire they have in themselves to do it as ever possibly a bad thing. their brains are giving them a little dopamine hit everytime they smoke. it is new, novel, feels good.

eventually it will fuck them over.it is inevitable if you smoke.

i still haven't smoked a cigarette (or took a drag off of one) in my 26 and counting years of life. i never plan on smoking either. almost all of my friends smoke though. i'm used to it, but i just hate it if i start to smell like smoke. another reason i like living in nyc opposed to florida is that there's no smoking in bars. i hated that shit.

I smoked tobacco for a decade, it is terrible. I decided to quit, i cut down for three months, then I just stopped. Its been a year, it is miraculously life changing. stick with it, cigarettes are genocide.
