Hi folks,
I have a new book coming out in March, published by ECW Press, called Fifteen Paths, along with some live events coming up that feature Lee. The premise of the book is that our social conversation has gone awry. We have allowed the wrong people to claim substantial amounts of social, political and economic power, leaving many of us to feel left out, left behind or left alone. We need to rethink what it means to listen, to think, to create and to be democratically engaged citizens. Documenting a year of searching, Fifteen Paths is the work of a disillusioned business professor who gave up on old arguments and set out to learn about the power of imagination with iconoclastic visionaries, including Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Nels Cline (Wilco), Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), Sunshine Jones (Dubtribe Sound System), Angelo Moore (Fishbone) and Lydia Lunch. An early reviewer made the comment that "David Weitzner’s innovative path to wisdom challenges you to put down your phone, crawl out of your echo chamber, gather at a table, actively look a stranger in the eye and keep the conversation going. It’s not often that a book on philosophy can make you cry. Fifteen Paths is a work of straight-up punk rock philosophy." There will be a free launch event in Toronto March 4 at The Concert Hall featuring a conversation with Lee Ranaldo. Details here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/author-d...ts-56641466150 And in NYC on March 18 at Rough Trade with Lee Ranaldo and Nels Cline: https://www.roughtrade.com/events/ro...ls-cline-wilco Hope to see folks from this community. Thanks! |

sup DavidW. This project sounds great. I have run a book review blog for the past 4+ years. http://rxttbooks.blogspot.com/
If you have a galley copy or a digital file I could review, that would be awesome. Just an idea.

I deleted some spam and it deleted the whole post! I was able to retrieve it by responding but if I delete my response the thread disappears.

Ouch. To the fiery pits with the spammers, but don't make us disappear. Don't do it, Chris "Thanos" Lawrence.
