let's see some of the goodies we have. don't just paste links, get the camera phone going, in all its grainy glory
warning, some serious metal coming up! my Soundgardens are probably my most treasured. especially the "Fopp" Ep and the "Deep Six" compilation, only a thousand pressed of the latter. picked it up for 50 bucks about 12 years go, a real steal. I got the Green River "Rehab Doll" album and Mudhoney's "Superfuzz Bigmuff" Ep (first pressing w/poster) around the same time too. My Augie March collection is also pretty prized. I've got the "Heartbeat & Sails" promo too but its at my ex's. Damn, need that back. The "...Memes" and "Waltz" ep's are signed, so too are the "Sunset Studies" & "Moo..." digi's. The Burzum stuff would be the hardest to replace as most of it was put out in limited quantities. The self titled & "Aske" cd's on Deathlike Silence were pressed in 1,000 only. The original version of "Det Som Engang Var" was first put out by Vikernes himself and was done to 950 copies. Also the vinyl of "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss" was done in 2,000 copies on marble white vinyl. The rarest Burzum item would have to be the promo cassette version Vikernes & Samoth (Emperor) were sending around of "Hvis lyset...". At this stage the album was going to be called "Pa Svarte Troner" and had a different tracklisting. With Samoth signing the cover I reckon this would go for heaps on the old 'bay. Got the Emperor demo aswell. Got the first 2 Carcass albums signed by Bill Steer: "Reek of putrefaction" & "Symphonies of sickness". The Destroyer 666 collection is nice. Includes the first demo tape printed to a massive 20 copies! Now, just for a few Ep's that won't mean much to anyone, but I wouldn't part with them for any money as they've got sentimental value (as well as killer music on them): Sadistik Exekution "The magus" Thou Shalt Suffer "Open the mysteries of your creation" Acheron "Deprived of afterlife" Fleurety "A darker shade of evil" Strid "Strid" Gehenna "Ancestor of the darkly sky" |

Can I say second that even though I don't believe in this kind of thing I still like reading and responding to these threads? I'm always impressed with collections. I'm pathetic.

I think this thread could be very fun and be about sharing rather than bragging. I'll take some pics this afternoon when I get home from work.
I'm excited to see what appears here from you guys. |

I don't collect for the sake of collecting, I couldn't afford to! I buy the records because they're my favourite bands and I love the music. God, do you think I'd be buying obscure black metal 7 inches by bands no ones heard of cause I'm gonna get a return? It's music i love. Yeah I'm bragging a little..... thats allowed in a thread like this. Don't be so precious guys.
Anyways... post away! |

Nice Burzum collection, Protectmeyou. May i ask how much you paid for the cassette promos?
Too bad my camera is broken, so i'll just post pics from the internet. In my little Mayhem-collection, their first album Deathcrush is the rarest. Original release on Posercorpse Records (no re-issue!), 1000 copies exists. Also got the second issue of their legendary bootleg Dawn of the Black Hearts. Picturedisc, released in 666 copies. I've got a copy of Emperors As the Shadows Rise EP (picturedisc). Released on Hells Slaughter, only 300 copies were made. My most valuable vinyl is Cult Of Lunas Bodies / Recluse 7" (my own photo). Limited to 500 copies, features covers of Smashing Pumpkins Bodies and Recluse by Unbroken. |

I have the regular version of that too, which I suppose is rare, but this pressing really isn't all that old. Here are some more...I haven't really delved into some of the better-packaged ones yet, because I would like to do them some sort of photographic justice.. Amon Düül II - Yeti original Early Kraftwerk stuff, 2nd pressing Nurse With Wound 4 LP box set Kali Bahlu Takes The Forest Children On A Journey Of Cosmic Remembrance (crappy photos, sorry) |

I have a copy of the "f# a# (infinity)" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor issue with silver writing, a train-crushed penny and glued front picture (limited to 500). A bit like this but with imprinted titles:
Other things I guess I could note would be an Anarchy in the UK single on EMI, second pressing, and VU's "Sweet Jane". I've a pretty small collection frankly, but some are impressive fer my age and that. |

I love my records and they never get to see the light of day. I have no way to play them and other than the sentimentality, they are practically dead weight.
I'm just going to post my favorites. I didn't even take pics of everything I wanted to, but it was fun to look at them again. my Bauhaus collection: Butthole Surfers - Psychic Powerless.... & The Jack Officers - Digital Dump Revolting Cocks - Big Sexy Land & Let's Get Physical (test press pre-olivia newton john lawsuit lyrics...woot!): Psychic TV - Roman P Flaming Lips - Hear It Is (white vinyl.....and also the wife's) Tones on Tail - Performance SPACE:1999! |

I have the 7" version of "Roman P," with the clear varnish overlay printing. Does the 12" have that too? That is one of their best tunes ever.

My friend just got a decent copy of this for £10. I was tracking the exact same copy on ebay and noticed he put a bid in about 20 minutes before the end. I thought it pointless to bid against him. I don't have that much rare stuff. I have a copy of Sun City Girls 330,003 Crossdressers on vinyl which can be quite pricey. |
