Recommend me some Xbox 360 games

For some reason I bought myself an Xbox 360 console over Christmas, and was wondering if any of you had favourite games I should check out?

lately, I've been playing Call of Duty 4. it has an awesome single player mode and the multiplayer on Live is insane.

Are you an "amateur" gamer? I would say pawn it and get a Wii.

Unless you like a lot of first person shooter and sports games?

But don't ask me, I don't own any consoles/games.

Get The Orange Box. Portal is one of the best games out there, and you get Half-Life 2, Episode 1, and Episode 2 and TF2 with it as well. A really good value (5 awesome games for 50 bucks)
