Yes, I'm sick of election politics, too. Sort of. It is dramatic and anything can happen. Yet, I also want to kill any number of people. (Why foreigners have to deal with it is beyond me, especially 290+ days til the election!)
Despite the writer's strike, along comes the Daily Show, returning like a knight in sane armor to help us all trudge through the nonesense. Every candidate is fair game and there's never a dearth of comedy gold on the campaign trails. Everyday coming home from work, I listen to NPR's coverage and I just get so damn mad, but like a crack junkie I can't help myself and I hate myself for it. Then I get home, have some dinner, flip on the Daily Show, and it all gets put into perspective. I let out a big sigh, go to sleep, and the cycle begins again. Without the Daily Show, I'd seriously have shot someone by now: pundits, candidates, my neighbors, you name it. |

The Daily Show kept me sane through the last election. For sure.
