I really like some of these songs. My girlfriend burnt me a cd with a bunch of well known songs. My favorite is probably El Condor Pasa(if i could), I Am A Rock, The 7 O'clock News - Silent night. Its funny, cos I used to absoloutly hate these guys, when i listened to metal, but now ive made out to them various times a night, im really having fond memories hehe

yeah, they're good. Bridge Over Troubled Water is great. But check out Paul Simon's solo stuff, Paul Simon - Rhythm Of the saints, that album is fucking amazing!

I haven't heard too much of them. I know Paul Simon's solo stuff more. I bought my mom a 2-disc compilation of S&G for her bday or something several years ago and listened to it a bit. It was before I was really into acoustic guitar-based music but now I love it so maybe I should give them another try.

I adore Simon & Garfunkel. My dad used to play their records around the house all the time when I was a kid, so I've kinda grown up loving them.

I don't really like Paul Simon's solo stuff. Simon is a good writer, but Art Garfunkle adds so much to the music with his harmonization and stuff.
The Graduate is one of my all time favorite films. |

There is a song I've heard by them which I'm not embarrased to say I really liked. Too bad I can't remember the name of it...

Maybe the fact that Art got busted for possession of weed a couple of times plays a role in this. BTW I guess I agree with your comment, even though the only Paul Simon record i've listened to was Graceland, with all the african influence. |

Nah, I think they both smoked pot. Garfunkle was just a better singer.

My mom used to listen to S&G all the time. I grew to love their songs. They are beautiful well written songs. and in their own folky way, they do rock.

Yeah. I just think that Garfunkel's vocals lended really well to Simon's songs, and Paul Simon was not as good afterwards. |
