Yeah I've heard it...the only track I really don't like is the one with Skull
Gang. (I have never heard a song featuring them that I liked, there isn't
one memorable voice in that group.) I would argue that "Crime Pays" would be another worthy Dipset '09 release (Cam's beefs with Juelz and
Jimmy aside, he DID start Dipset) if Cam'ron cut about 6 songs off and
got someone who wasn't suffering a concussion to master the thing.

CRIME PAYS would have made a brilliant EP. But as a full length I felt really let down. I mean, this is the same guy who put together the sprawling epic that is PURPLE HAZE and kept it thrilling for the whole journey.

Did you hear the mixtape Cam did with DJ Drama? I honestly think he
doesn't give a shit about music anymore. He always had that "I'm not a
rapper, I'm a hustler" persona, but it was forgivable because at his best
he's wickedly clever/tasteless/hilarious. He just does not care anymore.

nah I didn't hear the Drama tape. I thought about it a few times, but CRIME made me lose interest in checking it out. I kinda think he's thrown in the towel as well. He used to be the king of cramming syllables, alliteration and enjambments into a verse. But now he's completely on auto-pilot. I mean it's sad that (aside from "My Job" and the track that sampled "Blinded By The Light") the highlight of CRIME PAYS was the skit where he threatens to take a dump in someone's car.
