i thought it might be a good idea to make a thread where all the smart tech people tell us exactly what we should do to totally protect our computers.

I'd say the best way to protect yr pc would be not downloading an OS from torrents.

I never use Norton and would be unsure of using one I downloaded.
you have to constantly connect to Norton's servers to update viral definitions. pirated copies wouldn't work and freeware times out. |
