I have been nagging at him to do some recordings for me and here we go. I am just learning how to work these file sharing sites so sorry if this is not the preffered site. If you have better suggestions please let me know I need all the help I can get.
So anyway, most of you know the kind of shit I like and his picks are pretty much identical to mine. He taught himself how to play guitar and writes his own material. He is wonerful with finger picking. Mostly he plays acoustic, but fucks around with the electric alot. He sings as well and sometimes I sing his back up vocals. Don't judge his style by just 1 track, they all have different types of moods to them. So won't you please take a listen and tell me what you think? You will be our first feedback besides our families. If you can't download them let me know. I am trying different sites to see what works best. Thanks for taking the time to listen if you do!!!!!!! This one is called "Walk with me" I like it alot. He wrote it about me http://www.sendspace.com/file/m8xlio

Like you say he picks good has a southern rock feel (surprise surprise) except for the one he sang with you though he seemed tentative with his vocals. His voice isn't that bad I've certainly hear worst.

I LOVE his voice its got a natural groughness about it. He sings his pain. Keep in mind these are rough drafts. I put "Come from" on here before I told him and he really wished I had not put it on yet, bacause it is not the finished product. I will re release it when hes done it's actually one of my favorites. Thanks for the input.

Yeah these are really cool, do I happen to hear your kids making noises in the background of some of the tracks?

I can hear the possibilities of adding a driving yet understated drum beat to TODAY

What I would like to kow basically is if you heard this guy playin in a bar or restaraunt one night when you went out would you enjoy the experience? I know yall have other shit to do this weekend besides downloading some songs the crazy christian florida girl posted this week so I say thanks again

His throat sounds worryingly tight on 'walk with me'. Look for some warm-ups on Google - he's got a good voice, but he won't be able to hold a note much longer if he's pinching his throat like that. Warm water, breathing exercises, scales and decent warm ups. I know no-one wants to do that shite, but it's kind of necessary.
This isn't a criticism - he's got a really interesting voice. I'd just worry that he'd have a problem holding that voice for a 30 minute set. He's got a nice relaxed way of playing the guitar (ideal for this sort of thing), and he doesn't sound like he's trying to sound like anyone in particular. Seems very 'organic', or something. He should stop being a girl and get on stage. There are far worse things out there than this, and the songs would probably get a lot better with an audience. It's not my sort of thing, but I wouldn't walk out if it was playing.
