Just finished watching this, it has to be one of the funniest TV show's of all time. On par with seinfeld and curb your enthusiasm.
Hank Kinglsey must rival George Costanza as one of the finest TV characters ever created. Anyone else a fan? (Thread title should be the Larry Sanders show) |

Fucking love that show. did not get to watch it when it originally aired on HBO. watched it on Netflix with the wife a couple of years back. the first season is amazing. but it is all good stuff. Love all the main characters.

Cool.
Gun to my head, perhaps my favorite sitcom. It's maybe not roll-on-the-floor hilarious, but its comedy comes from the absurd truths of the characters, which hits harder over the long run. I love how the minor characters get their chance to shine. Beverly, Phil the writer, Paula, etc. aren't just shoved to the side to make room for Larry. In fact, a few episodes have very little Larry in them. It's technically innovative, a precursor to faux-reality shows. You can spot the boom mic in a few shots. Some episodes are better than others, but not one of them is even close to disappointing. I could go on and on. . . |

I don't have a clue about this show, but we have a Blockbuster with a ton of television seasons and I will check it out if they have them. Love me some George Costanza! |

It is a great riff on the old Tonight Show and the old Late Night with David Letterman shows.
