i'm not talking about the urine smell...
what is that smell that ladies who have blue hair have? it smells like baby powder or those fresheners you put in the dryer...but not exactly like either one...does anyone know what I mean? Imagine being at a pot luck and old ladies are serving fruit salad.

I can imagine that years from now we will know EXACTLY what makes that smell, but not until then...one day we will see someone say "Here, try this" and it will make the old lady smell and we will nod.

Most old people I come across smell like a mixture of cinnamon and peppermint.

Love your theads Daycare, they're always so surreal! I hope we do someday find the answer to this, society's greatest mystery! I have however made a personal observation. Old women who rock (sweet, gentle, cuddly) are not plagued by this smell as much as old women who do not rock (bitter, nasty, and a natural sway towards ultra right-wing politics). Most old people are awesome and i hope when I'm old I don't come under the latter, so the new-age SY fans don't make a thead about how much I smell of my Arse!!!

it's some kind of perfume. i'm going to go to the department stores and smell every perfume available to see which one it is.

i can tell you exactly how they get their hair to be blue though, and why they do it (probably. i assume it's not out of vanity but old people are crazy, after all.)
i assume that most people wash their hair with tap water, which can yellow blonde or white hair. it's just like when you bleach your hair and it turns yellow, you have to put toner in it to take the yellow out. toner is sort of a lavender color and if you leave it in long enough it will turn your hair bluish.

My grandma tried to dye her hair brown/black but she fucked it up and it was purple. It was so funny.
